Admission Requirements
Course pre-requisites | Completion of an AQF level 7 bachelor degree in a business* or human services** discipline from this or another university; or Other qualifications or practical experience recognised by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the Division of Tropical Environments and Societies as equivalent to the above. * Cognate business disciplines: accounting and finance, marketing, management, commerce, human resource management, economics, tourism and hospitality, or other disciplines where students will have completed study relating to organisational behaviour, business, strategy, marketing, economics, communication and people management. ** Cognate human services disciplines: Law, business, psychology, social work, peace and conflict studies, social science, education, nursing, communication or other disciplines where students will have completed study relating to human behaviour, communication and people management. They will also have developed skills in analysing theory and practice in areas relating to people and communication, and in particular providing support and advice to individuals, groups and organisations. Students from these disciplines will also have developed skills in ethical judgement and initiative in practice and research involving human interaction, as well as critical reflection and self-assessment of their capabilities and performance, and use feedback, in personal and professional development. |
Minimum English language proficiency requirements | Applicants of non-English speaking backgrounds must meet the English language proficiency requirements of Band 2 – Schedule II of the ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û Admissions Policy or have successfully completed an AQF 8 qualification from ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û within the previous two (2) years. |

Supplementary exam for final subject | A student who has failed a single subject towards the award in their final teaching period and who gained 40% or more of the marks for that subject may be granted a supplementary examination in that subject.
