Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)[Embedded]
Handbook year | Information valid for students commencing in 2024 |
Course code | 116209 |
Course type | Bachelor Honours Degree (AQF level 8) |
Professional accreditation status | This course is accredited by Engineers Australia. All majors have full accreditation with the exception of the Electrical and Electronic major from the Cairns campus, which has provisional accreditation. ̨ÍåÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û will apply for full accreditation for that program once the first significant cohort of students graduates. Graduates are immediately eligible for graduate membership of Engineers Australia. After a period of professional practice, a graduate may apply to become a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and register under state-based schemes such as Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ). Accreditation also entitles graduates to have their qualifications recognised in countries that are signatories of the Washington Accord, and after a period of professional practice, apply for professional registration in those countries. |
